Fusion Homes earns Top Builder kudos - again


For the second year in a row, Fusion Homes has been named by Tarion Warranty Corporation as the winner of the prestigious Award of Excellence Ontario Builder of the Year in the Medium-Volume Builder category for   2009-2010. This award recognizes home builders in Ontario based solely on their customer service delivery.

“Winning this year is even more special because of the challenges we have faced due to the downturn in the economy,” says Fusion Homes President Lee Piccoli. “In light of those hurdles, this award is a true testament to the caliber of our team and a reflection of our commitment to providing clients with a high-quality product and an exceptional customer service experience.”

In its 10th year of operation, this is the third time Fusion Homes has been recognized by the Tarion Warranty Corporation. In 2008, the company won the Tarion Award of Excellence Ontario Builder of the Year in the Large-Volume Builder category and in 2005 was a finalist in the Medium-Volume Builder category.

“To see Fusion Homes emerge as a leader in the home-building industry and secure this award two years running is very gratifying and validates all of the hard work we have put in over the past decade,” Piccoli says. “We couldn’t have done this without the support of all our industry partners, including land developers, trades, suppliers and financial institutions. The dedication of these team members is the reason we have never missed a closing date and why we continue to meet and exceed industry standards.”

To determine the award recipients, a survey was sent to more than 38,000 new home buyers who took possession of a new home in Ontario between October 1, 2008 and September 30, 2009.  More than 9,000 responses were received and the results were tabulated by Harris/Decima and Crunch Research.  Questions covered every stage of the after-sales homeowner-builder relationship, from signing the agreement of purchase and sale, through construction and the pre-delivery period, to after-sales service.
