Are you a first time home buyer? If you answered ‘yes’ right away, then this blog is for you! But even if you’ve already bought your first home—or a couple of homes—there will probably be some information here that you’ll find useful.
Here at Fusion Homes, we have found that most first time home buyers in Ontario have a lot of questions about the purchasing process. That’s why we created a comprehensive Home Buyer’s Guide for everyone moving into one of our homes.
This guide offers some insight into our process. It covers several months of collaborative planning with our team, which we like to call “Your New Home Timeline.” This timeline includes 3 key phases:
- Purchasing Your New Home
- Planning & Construction
Within each of these phases, we break the process down into specific steps and appointments that our team will need to coordinate with you. Here are some these steps
- The Reservation of a Lot and Home Model
- Agreement of Purchase and Sale
- Waiving of Conditions and Firming
- Preliminary Upgrade Selection Appointment
- Interior Selection Appointment
- Pre-Delivery Inspection
- Final Walk-through & Closing
The first step is the Reservation of your Lot and Home Model. During this step, you will be asked to make a refundable deposit which holds the lot and model that you are interested it. At this time we will help you with any financing or legal questions that you may have and put you in contact with the experts. Our Sales Professionals will be there guide you through this process from start to finish, helping you make decisions that best suite you.
In Ontario, when purchasing a new home, you are protected by the Tarion Warranty Corporation. Tarion is a government mandated warranty body that has been serving Ontario for nearly 40 years. Each year, Tarion awards top home builders in 4 different volume categories for customer service excellence – Fusion Homes has won this award an unprecedented 6 times.
